With the coming of Spring, activity within the different shipping sectors is increasing daily, yet still maintaining its volatility. The industryˇ¦s analysts are divided on prospects for 2008 ˇK while some sectors are maintaining their daily rates, the newbuilding markets are the hot topic among many market analysts ˇV highlighted by recent reports that the Chinese Government has cut an order of 80 bulk carriers down to 20 vessels in a move that will be interpreted in many ways by different players.

This month we focus on a strategy that enables small shipping enterprises to compete with larger Government backed enterprises, in China and anywhere else in Asia where Government controlled companies dominate the market.
